CEDES was founded in 2006 in Sarajevo, as a joint venture of five highly qualified and experienced consultants in economics, information technology, and technical disciplines. CEDES consists of three departments, each run by a professional manager, following best practices:

• Information security

Our mission is the local relevance of our services, in the context of sustainable development — its economic, environmental, and social dimensions. Our business culture is built on local responsibility as the foundation for international success through regional connection.

We think together with our clients, their partners, and their wider environment. Together with our clients, we develop the vision, methods, and instruments to implement strategic activities directed at specific local and regional projects. Our team includes some of the best local and international experts in social development, economics, information technology, and technical disciplines, with years of experience serving international organisations, investment and development institutions, financial institutions, corporations, government organisations, and the non-governmental sector.

Economic Development and Development Projects

The Economic Development department provides services to four main client groups: investors; governments and government organisations; small and medium enterprises and large corporations; and international organisations operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

Today, CEDES is one of the few companies in BiH acting as a link between all these key stakeholders — the main users of our services — supporting the sustainability of development processes and their results across BiH and the region.

The main reason clients choose us is our flexibility and our ability to meet their exact needs. Because most of our work is project-driven, we build project management best practice (PCM) into every activity.

Engineering and Technical Consulting

What makes CEDES distinctive is an integrative approach to client needs — a full set of services for implementing plans and investments, technical documentation, and support through administrative procedures, including obtaining approvals and permits.

Information Security

Our IT consulting (systems integration) service is designed to enable fast, reliable implementation of advanced technologies in complex systems — security controls, advanced authentication methods, smartcard systems, adaptive intrusion detection/prevention systems, biometrics, and other security and communications technologies.
