CEDES presented the Trebević Cable Car Feasibility Study and three development scenarios for the Trebević sports and recreation zone to the City of Sarajevo administration, EC representatives, and representatives of the EU Tourism project, covering key technical, organisational, and financial aspects.
The European Commission Delegation in Sarajevo funded the study through the project “Technical Assistance in Support of Tourism Development in BiH,” awarded to a consortium led by CEDES (BiH) in partnership with OREX-Loisirs (France). Three scenarios were analysed for rebuilding the cable car and developing the Trebević mountain zone, ranging from minimal investment using existing donated equipment to a fully new complex with an underground car park, hotel, and Olympic museum — each backed by a full techno-economic, market, legal, and environmental analysis.
